====== Introduction ====== Hi, I am Gwenolé, a Linux software engineer living in Paris. For those of you who asked in the past, this is a breton male name. The accent is not mandatory but it actually helps French people to pronounce it correctly. ;-) I finally decided to create a blog! This is mostly because people wondered what's going on with the projects I am involved in. I hope to also distill some news as I am experimenting with new things. I know I have accumulated too many mails that have yet to be answered since August, 2006 (or even older?!). I do apologize and thank you for your patience. Here is a tentative roadmap. * **Short-term** is to release a minor update to NSPluginWrapper with fixes from distributors currently available in SVN. VirtualBox packages for older 64-bit Mandriva Linux distributions will also move up to upstream version 1.3.8. Reply to mails. * **Mid-term** (2 to 3 months) will bring updates to Basilisk II and SheepShaver, mostly for improved MacOS X GUI. The intent is to also make SheepShaver run on Sony PlayStation 3 (now available in France!) and/or newer Linux distributions, e.g. fully NPTL-based ones. Fixes are simple but take non-zero time. Reply to mails. * **Long-term** (2007?) involves the revival of other dormant projects still related to emulation, but also data compression if time permits. //Note that I resigned from my current employer.// A side effect is that the workload may get back to the normal thus hopefully making this plan honourable. That's the theory though. Let's see how things go on within the next 3 months. If I fail to complete short-term and mid-term items, well, you could definitely call me an "anti-social" then. PS: this blog uses DokuWiki plugins from wiki:design. I don't want to make comments possible at this time. I (or others!) may want to add captcha support to the Discussion plugin, which is not my top-priority.
