====== QtEmu: a nice GUI for QEMU ======

I decided to write about [[http://www.qtemu.org/|QtEmu]] because I was quite surprised that so few people were talking about it. I am not fond of GUIs but I believe that for our users we need to propose some nice looking tools to help them use the underlying software. For configuring QEMU, I believe QtEmu does fit well this purpose. It's written in Qt4 and is easy-to-use.

I have not checked all Mandriva Linux 2007 Spring ISOs but I had requested QtEmu to be available there. Another addition specific to Mandriva Linux is the ability to configure the activation of accelerators like KQEMU or KVM. Yes, the Mandriva QEMU packages does include KVM support, it's not a separate package for convenience.

**Caveats:** nothing is perfect, you will need a "tall" screen, e.g. 1280x1024 to get the machine window fully visible. My MacBook's 1280x800 resolution is not enough for example. I don't need a GUI though. ;-)
